By this point, some people may be wondering how we know that by changing our diet we can find a cystic acne cure, especially when everyone keeps saying diet and acne aren’t connected.

Frankly, I’m pretty angry that people keep spouting off this misinformation.  The most recent study done in America comparing diet and acne was in 1971.  Subjects were fed 6 servings of either chocolate bars, milk, peanuts or Coca-Cola for 7 days and their skin was looked at after.  I don’t need to be a genius to point out that 7 days is a ridiculously low number and it’s laughable that anyone would refer to this as proof that their is no connection between diet and acne.  Furthermore, no reliable studies were conducted before 1971 and there hasn’t been a study done on Americans since.  This is now way to go about finding a cystic acne cure!

On the other hand, there were two studies done on cultures outside of our own; the Innuits and the Kitvans.  In the case of the Innuits, researchers spent nearly 2 years with them as the changed from a hunter-gatherer society and began to eat more westernized foods from 1984-1986.  Before the change, the Innuits had no cases of acne whatsoever.  As they progressed into a more western diet with our processed foods, they quickly began to experience all sorts of acne breakouts.

Likewise, researches spent 834 days with the Kitvans from 1997-2001. They are located on an island close to Papa New Guinea and have some access to western products, but tend to eat more natural foods and retain the hunter-gatherer methodology.  Over the course of the 834 days, the researchers found not a single case of acne on any of their 2400 subjects.

Still think you can’t find a cystic acne cure by changing your diet?  Clearly their is a relation and it makes me downright angry that this bad information keeps getting propagated.  If there was a way to clear your acne, wouldn’t people want it known?

To be honest, no.  Heck no!  Proactiv alone makes nearly a billion dollars a year from their cystic acne cure products.  These companies aren’t interested in a cure, they just want money.  But you can finally put an end to that.

In part 1, I touched on the major contributors to acne.  Now I don’t only eat spinach and drink water.  Far from it, I enjoy BBQ’s as much as the next person and I also drink alcohol socially.  A cystic acne cure doesn’t mean you have to give up everything.  The trick is just look for the healthier alternatives and keep the bad stuff down as much as possible.  Moderation is key.

Rice, almond, or hemp milk are great alternatives.  They taste great and they’re good for your body.  Organic, grass fed cows are ok if you love a good steak now and again.  You just also have to be aware that you need to eat a lot of the god stuff on top of the ok stuff.

For instance, green, leafy vegetables are number one on your “to eat” list.  Spinach, romaine, etc are great because they are highly alkalizing which brings our bodies pH levels back into norm and also they help clear away toxins.  I have to mention here that iceberg lettuce does not belong on this list as it has no nutritional value at all.

Water is another prime addition to this list.  By consuming a lot of water, you will both help flush unwanted toxins and will also help moisturize your skin.  By cutting out the bad stuff and adding these two things alone, my skin started to look amazing after only a short while.

The trick to cystic acne cure treatments is that there is no trick!  Everyone wants you to buy some cream or gel, but they’ll never work because they’ll never treat the problems inside of your body.  For a cystic acne cure to work, it can’t treat your symptoms, it has to treat the root problem.  That’s why cutting out bad food while focusing on more natural foods and drinking more water is the only thing that will cure your acne for good.
